Goodison Park, built in 1892, is one of the oldest and most historic football grounds in Europe and it was England’s first major football stadium.
According to voters at Everton FC’s official website, the greatest match the stadium ever hosted was a European Cup Winners’ Cup semi final second leg against Bayern Muncih in 1985. Everton’s Andy Gray, Graeme Sharp and Trevor Steven scored three second half goals securing their victory.
